Food for Thought

I can take kindness for granted, and do not bother to say thanks. It was the stranger, the Samaritan, who took the trouble to go back to Jesus. The other nine went off happily, feeling. "Sure that’s only what the rabbis/doctors/ healers are there for."

Thank you Lord that I am alive and able to speak to you: that I have access to your word in Sacred Space. May I always count my blessings.

ARE YOU NEW TO OUR PARISH?     WELCOME!

Welcome to those who want to make our parish their faith home. You may have come from other places. You may have been “away for a while”. Be assured that we love to have you among us. We would appreciate it very much if you identified yourself at Mass. It would also help if you would take the time to fill out a registration form. The next time you are with us, you may leave it in the collection basket or give it to one of the ushers or to the priest.

Thank you and welcome.

THANK YOU – FROM OLV WARDENS
The OLV wardens, on behalf of all Parishioners, would like to thank the following individuals for their recent support of Parish activities - their support is greatly appreciated:

Garage and bake Sale Monique Simpson
Painting of the church exterior Clifford Ivall, Mervin Butler, Ken Simpson and Regis Lemieux
Setting up the new office computer and computer desk Lyall Campbell, Linda Cameron and Raymond St-Jean
Cutting of the hedge and removal of roots and cedars Edward Lemieux, Gary Miller, Regis Lemieux and Larry Cameron.
A special thank you to Hugh McFaul for the donation of $500.00

WHO CUT THE HEDGE?
A number of parishioners were surprised to see that the cedar hedge on the north side of the OLV church had been cut. The wardens authorized the cutting of the hedge. While the hedge was in fairly good shape on the church side, the other side facing our neighbour was a different story, as most of the branches were dead. Our neighbour felt, with reason, that the hedge had become an eye-sore on her side. Upon reviewing the situation, it was decided that the hedge could not be saved and a decision was made to cut it. In the spring, a decision will be made on what should replace the hedge.

A COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION NEEDS YOUR HELP
Maison de la famille Vallée de la Lièvre is a local not-for-profit community based organization located in Buckingham which offers support towards the well-being of families. - bed for herself;
- dresser;
- washer and dryer;
- pots and pans;
