F O O D   F O R   T H O U G H T

Reading I Exodus 32.7 – 11, 13 – 24 Responsorial Psalm I will get up and go to my Father
Reading II I Timothy 1.12 – 17 Gospel Luke 15. 1- 32
Food for Thought

This is the point at which my prayers begin: the father (Jesus’ most developed image of God) is not sitting at home brooding about the ‘’mistake’’ of financing his younger son’s follies, but standing at his doorway, scanning the road by which the boy may come back; running to embrace him, silencing his apologies, calling a party to celebrate his own joy.

ARE YOU NEW TO OUR PARISH?     WELCOME!

Welcome to those who want to make our parish their faith home. You may have come from other places. You may have been “away for a while”. Be assured that we love to have you among us. We would appreciate it very much if you identified yourself at Mass. It would also help if you would take the time to fill out a registration form. The next time you are with us, you may leave it in the collection basket or give it to one of the ushers or to the priest.

Thank you and welcome.

A MAJOR RENOVATION COST
Bids have been received from 3 sources to replace the roof shingles on the north side of the church roof. The lowest bid of $ 18,257.53 was submitted by Toitures L&L and was accepted. The two criteria for selection were price and the capacity to start work immediately. L&L met both. Following the awarding of the bid, Mr. Matte, the owner of Toitures L&L, reduced the price to $ 18,000.00, donating $257.53 to the parish. We thank him for his generosity. The wardens are now in the process of developing a funding strategy which will be shared with Parishioners within two weeks.
